LDS Permanent Magnet shakers vary from teacup-size to about the size of a gallon of paint.
These models are small & portable enough to be considered "benchtop".
They are driven by audio-type Amplifiers, plugged into a standard wall outlet.
Higher force models require an optional cooling fan & ducting.
The largest & most popular of the benchtop shakers is the V408.
Rated at 22 lbf without forced-air-cooling, it has a useful stroke in excess of 1/2".
Output force can be doubled by adding the optional fan & duct-hose.
In the photo at right, the V408 is fitted with an optional 2.5"sq. Head Expander, fastened to the 1.5" dia. shaker armature.
